Oil industry with investment of around 120 million established

Kapilvastu . An edible oil processing industry with an investment of around Rs 120 million has come into operation at Sihorhawa of Mayadevi rural municipality-5 in Kapilvastu district.

The industry named ‘Bharadwaj Oil Industry’ has started producing the oil under ‘Rice Bran’ brand. According to industry manager Om Shankar Upadhayay, the factory has provided employment to 80 people at the local-level. It aims to produce 4,500 metric tons of oil annually. As he claimed, the production is fortified with vitamins A and D and has met the quality standards with focus on promoting public health.

The company has set the price of the oil at Rs 365 per liter. Mayadevi rural municipality Chair Waliuddin Musalman also said the establishment of the cooking oil industry has contributed to creating jobs at the local-level.
