Prime Minister Prachanda get vote of confidence

Kathmandu : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has received the vote of confidence. He received the vote of confidence with 268 votes in his favor and 2 votes against.

270 MPs were present in today’s election process. He has taken the vote of confidence according to clause 4 of Article 76 of the Constitution.

According to Article 72(2) of the Constitution, President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed her as the Prime Minister with the support of 169 MPs from two or more parties.

Independent parliamentarians including his party Maoist Center, Nepali Congress, CPN UML, National Independence Party, National Democracy Party, National Democracy Party, Civil Liberties Party, Janmaat Party have also announced their vote of confidence to the Prime Minister. Likewise, 3 independent MPs also gave their vote of confidence. On the other hand, Rashtriya Janamorcha and Nepal Kisan Labor Party have announced that they will not give a vote of confidence to the Prime Minister.
