Nepal Army Day celebrated in Islamabad

Zulfiqar Baig- Islamabad: Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, H.E Tapas Adhikari hosted a reception on Nepal Army Day Islamabad. We congratulate our Nepali brothers and sisters on this auspicious occasion of their national history. Nepal Army has been the oldest among the world armies.

Nepal has been all weather friend of Pakistan in a region where tensions have never left the nations alone. Reciprocally, Pakistan also holds relations with Nepal in high esteem. Both countries have been cooperating with each other in trade, tourism, defense training and in other sectors.

Bilateral relations have taken a new dimension and upward trend during the posting of Mr. Tapas Adhikari who understands the commonalities of language, culture, and civilization of this region. Pakistani military officials participated in large number to share their respect and solidarity with Nepali nation and Army.

Nepal has been active and constructive member of SAARC where Pakistan is colleague as well. Pakistan is always looking forward to make SAARC a maximum productive organization especially for the small countries of the region South Asia. Pakistan has also set up a center in Islamabad for conflict resolutions between SAARC countries.

Pakistan and Nepal are moving ahead gradually to diversify already present cordial and close relations into meaningful economic and trade cooperation. Mr. Tapas Adhikari has held many meetings with the potential people in different sectors and traveled to other cities as well to enhance the knowledge of the people and increase the volume of the mutual trade.

In the reception, Dean of diplomatic corp, Ambassador Turkmenistan, H.E Atadjan Movlamov was also present. Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Defense Attaches of South Asia and other countries also graced the event with their presence.

Parliamentarians of Pakistan, Business Community, Civil Society and Media persons were also invited.
