United States quickly plans their potential responses in case Russia takes extreme step against Ukraine.

Kathmandu- After four days of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, U.S. president Joe Biden’s national defense and security advisor Jake Sullivan authorized a team of intellects to quickly map out potential responses if Vladimir Putin takes the extreme step, which includes the use of biological chemical or any sort of nuclear weapons, a senior administration official responded to CNN.

Tiger team team, the group known as the new version of the one that was assembled last fall when Russia was preparing to invade Ukraine. After a month of the Russian invasion, this group meets few times a week in order to examine how United States and Biden could respond if Putin was to launch any sort of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons, encroach on NATO Territory, target U.S. convoys or any other step that can be taken by Russia and Putin in order to put out his frustration over Russia’s lack of progress.

Officials also stated that there national security officials are keen on what they can plan in the next three months. The New York times first responded the details of the preparation.

The tiger team of the U.S. is also keen on creating contingency plans for several scenarios which includes Vladimir Putin’s potential use of such chemical and biological weapons that may target U.S. conveys delivering military assistance, disruptions to global food-chain and growing refugee crisis.

Before leaving for Brussels, U.S. president Biden also warns about the threat of Russia planning out a chemical weapon attack over Ukraine was ‘Real’. In Brussels, the leader will also have to tackle and confront another threat Russia has made that is; “deploying his arsenal weapons.”

In an interview with CNN, Christiane Amanpour, Putin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov refused multiple times to rule out that Putin would consider the use of such nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. Also, when asked under what extent and conditions Putin would use nuclear potential, Dmitry Peskov replied- “if it is an existential threat for our country, it can be.”

The comments made by Peskov were condemned as “dangerous” comments. Pentagon Press Secretary told reporters, “It’s not the way a responsible nuclear power should act.”

Also, back in February, Putin has stated on a televised statement “No matter who tries to stand in our way or all the more so create threats for our country and our people, they must know that Russia will respond immediately, and the consequences will be such as you have never seen in your entire history”.
