73rd Republic Day of India celebrated at Indian Embassy in Kathmandu

Kathmandu : 73rd Republic Day of India has been celebrated at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

The program was inaugurated by Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra hoisting the Indian National Flag.

Ambassador Quatra read out a message from the President of India at the event. Indian Ambassador Kwatra honored the heroic women and the immediate relatives of the deceased soldiers by distributing Rs 6.35 crore in cash and blankets.

According to the Embassy, ​​the event was organized as part of the ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’ initiative launched by the Government of India to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence and the remarkable achievements made by Indians in all areas of humanitarian endeavor.

Many programs will be organized throughout the year till August 2023 as part of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence . The Embassy also plans to inaugurate all 75 development projects implemented under Indian assistance in the provinces and districts of Nepal this year as the milestone celebrations of “Indai@75”.

The Embassy will provide 75 ambulances and school buses as gifts to various organizations and local bodies across Nepal. The event was broadcast live on the embassy’s social media handles.
