Seven killed in Sindhupalchowk flood, search and rescue operation continue

Kathmandu: Seven people have been killed in floods in Melamchi and Indravati rivers of Sindhupalchowk district on Tuesday.

Chief District Officer of Sindhupalchok Arun Kumar Pokhrel said that seven people were killed in the floods. He said full details of the other casualties were not yet available. People have disappeared in the floods. Roads, bridges and houses have also been damaged.

Chief District Officer Pokharel informed that the government is trying to rescue and provide relief by helicopter.
