Prachanda criticises PM Oli

Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the Prime Minister who dissolved the House of Representatives does not have the right to seek a vote of confidence from the same parliament.

Taking part in the HoR session called by PM KP Sharma Oli to seek a vote of confidence in the parliament, Chair Dahal viewed that all parliamentarians should vote against the proposal put forward by the PM. People are doubtful about whether the government again goes for mid-term election, according to Prachanda.

The act of calling the HoR session and seek a vote of confidence was unnatural and irrational, said the former PM.

“I have honoured the proposal (put forward by PM Oli) for a vote of confidence as the matter is related to democracy. But the parliament does not give a vote of confidence to the PM. There is not a situation wherein the PM could win a vote of confidence given his all activities of the government occurred since its formation.”
