Winter session of the parliament will end from today
Kathmandu : The government is going to recommend to the President to end the winter session of the federal parliament.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar this morning has decided to recommend to President Bidyadevi Bhandari to end the parliamentary session.
A minister informed that it has been recommended to end the convention with effect from 1 pm today. After the re-establishment of the House of Representatives, the government has been accused of not giving business to the parliament.
There is a constitutional provision for the president to convene and end parliamentary sessions on the recommendation of the government.
