One killed in road accident

Kathmandu : A person injured in a road accident that took place in the tea garden road section in Damak municipality-4 on Friday has died. Niran Basnet, 23, who was riding the motorcycle (province 1-02-044Pa 8133) was severely injured after being hit by a tipper truck coming from the opposite direction.
Basnet died during treatment at the B&C Hospital in Birtamode the same evening, according to District Police Office.

Earlier, pillion rider, Anish Koirala,24, of Ratuwamai municipality-8 in Morang district had died on the way to hospital. The tipper truck driver Prakash Tamang,49, a resident of Damak-4 has been taken into custody by the Area Police Office, Damak.
