Why didn’t Jhala Nath Khanal attend the Dhumbarahi meeting ?
Kathmandu : After a long time, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal have met.
After returning to the party after the Supreme Court’s decision, Nepal, who did not attend other meetings of the CPN-UML, reached the party office in Dhumbari today for talks.
But another senior leader of the party Jhala Nath Khanal did not attend today’s meeting. Khanal, who went to the party program even in the morning, has responded that Dhumbarahi did not attend the meeting as he was not invited.
The Nepal-Khanal faction was dissatisfied that Oli did not invite them to the meeting even though they had returned to the UML with the decision of the Supreme Court.
Though a meeting was called to find a solution to the dispute within the party through talks, the leaders expressed interest in it after Khanal did not attend.
Leaders have responded positively to today’s discussion. During the meeting, the Nepali side requested Oli to reverse the decisions taken on March 11, said leader Bhim Rawal. Similarly, Oli said that he was in favor of finding a solution through talks in the coming days only if he withdraws his decisions alone.
