Martyrs widow honoured
Kathmandu : Kashidevi, the widow of first republican martyr of the country, Durga Nanda Jha was honoured here today.
She was honoured by the Nepali Congress Tarun Department, province no. 2. NC central member and chair of the Department Shanker Bhandari honoured her at a function held in Jatahi, the ancestral home of martyr Jha.
A letter of citation recognizing the contribution of Jha to establishment of republic in the country was also presented to Kashidevi.
On the occasion, central member of the department and provincial coordinator Ram Paltan Shah, NC Dhanusa working committee member Prabesh Chaudhary and others speakers shed light on the contributions of late Jha to the establishment of a republican system of governance in the country.
