Ram Kumari Jhakri has been arrested

Kathmandu : Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Prachanda-Nepal faction leader Ram Kumari Jhakri has been arrested.

She was arrested after police who reached her residence to arrest her.

Jhakri is ready to go to the police for questioning after the police issued an arrest warrant for the crime against the state.

Her supporters are chanting slogans in front of Jhakri’s residence in Shankhamul and a large number of riot police have been mobilized.

Police had called Jhakri for questioning saying that he had made false statements against President Vidyadevi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. However, she was arrested if she did not show up. Jhakri had said that she had not received the arrest warrant.
