Arrest of Jhakri is a naked interference on the freedom of expression : Leader Poudel

Kathmandu : Senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the government has interfered in the freedom of expression by arresting Ram Kumari Jhakri.

Senior leader Poudel wrote on social media that the government had exposed its authoritarian character by arresting Jhakri.

Senior leader Poudel strongly condemned the incident and demanded his unconditional release.

“The government has exposed its authoritarian character by arresting Ram Kumari Jhakri. He said, “The constitution has nakedly interfered with the freedom of expression of the citizens. Therefore, I strongly condemn the arrest of Ram Kumari Jhakri and release her unconditionally! ”

Jhakri, leader of the CPN-Prachanda-Nepal faction, was arrested by the police from his residence on Thursday. Police have arrested Jhakri on the charge of committing a crime against the state.
