Bhagarathi’s Postmortem report Confirms strangulation after Rape

Kathmandu : Post-mortem report of Bhagarathi Bhatt, who was killed after being raped, has come. A post-mortem report at the District Hospital, Baitadi, confirmed that Bhatta was strangled to death after being raped.

After the post-mortem report, the police said that the victim had bruises and injuries on her neck.

According to the District Police Office, Baitadi, further investigation is underway and various police teams have been deployed to investigate the incident. A team of Deputy Inspector General of Police Uttam Raj Subedi of the Far Western Provincial Police Office has reached the spot and is conducting a study.

Similarly, police said that they were sent to Kathmandu today for ‘vaginal swab’ test as it was suspected that she was killed after being raped. The swab has been sent to the National Forensic Science Laboratory for testing.
