Possibility of rain and snowfall

Kathmandu : The sky across the nation would remain partial to fully cloudy today due to influence of westerly wind. Similarly, light rainfall and snowfall would take place at some places.

There is possibility of light snowfall at high hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as light rainfall at one or two places of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

Meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Samir Shrestha, said the sky would remain partial to fully cloudy at most of the places of the country till Thursday evening as well as there is probability snowfall at some places of high-hilly and mountain areas.

Shrestha shared, “The weather will gradually improve from Thursday evening.” The country has been experiencing cold with the influence of westerly wind.

As per the latest details of the Meteorological Forecasting Division, minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley today was 5.6 degree Celsius and maximum temperature 20.0 Degree Celsius.

The lowest temperature throughout the country was recorded in Jumla today. The minimum temperature in Jumla was minus 8 degree Celsius.
