Chitwan DAO directs people not to organise celebrations on festivals

Kathmandu : In view of COVID-19 risks, the district administration office here has directed the general public not to organise any celebrations and jatras on the occasion of festivals.

Programmes except family gathering have been banned, said Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma.

“Worshipping except puja at temples and shaktipeeths has been banned during Navaratri. Organisers have been asked not to organise any sorts of celebration in the district,” said CDO Sharma.

Those flouting the direction of the local administration during this crisis would face action as per the Infectious Disease Act, 2020, he added.
