Elderly dies due to COVID-19 in Dharan

Kathmandu : An elderly infected with Coronavirus and undergoing treatment at home-isolation at Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City in Sunsari district has died today morning at his house due to the deadly infection.

The 70-year-old man had tested positive for COVID-19 around a week ago, according to Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Health Division Chief Umesh Mehata.

Mehata shared that elderly man had arrived Nepal from the UK to perform the final rites of his son. He had been staying in home-isolation since he was confirmed to have contracted the flu-like infection

Preparation was afoot to manage the dead body of the elderly. The Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City recorded 82 new cases of COVID-19 today alone.
