1,154 new cases of COVID-19 registered on Monday

Kathmandu: A total of 1,154 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country while conducting PCR tests on 9,533 individuals in the past 24 hours.

In the regular press briefing at the Ministry of Health and Population, Spokesperson Dr Jageshwar Gautam shared that a total of 17,611 are enlisted as active cases of corona virus in the country. With this, the total number of infected has reached 65, 276 in the country.

Dr Gautam further shared that, 1,005 have returned home after complete health recovery from across the country in past 24 hours. With this, the number of total recovery till today is 47,238. According to Ministry, 196 individuals are undergoing treatment in ICU while 31 with ventilator support.

Solukhumbu, Rasuwa, Mustang, Myagdi, Dolpa, Mugu and Humla districts have no active case of corona virus. Similarly, Morang, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Makawanpur, Chitwan and Rupandehi districts have over 500 cases of the virus.

According to Gautam, the total death toll caused by the virus infection is 427 so far in the country, with 16 deaths today.
