COVID-19 death toll reaches 47 in State-1

Kathmandu: The tally of COVID-19 pandemic casualty in State-1 has reached 47. According to Corona Information Desk of the State-1 Government, among the deceased are 34 men and 13 women.

The number of Corona Virus cases as of Monday morning stands at 4,742. Of them, 3,399 are men and 1,343 women.

Corona Information Desk said almost half of infected patients have been discharged from isolation centre after recovering their normal health. Among total discharged numbers of 2,063, 1,621 are men and 442 are women.
Highly infected two Terai districts of Morang and Sunsari each have four-digit infections. Morang has largest volume of 2,212 cases including 1,449 men and 763 women followed by Sunsari’s 1,235 with 924 men and 311 women.

Udayapur, the first hotspot in the State, has three-digit pandemic patients tally of 125 comprising 90 men and 35 women. The thirds largest infected district after Morang and Sunsari, Jhapa has a total of 732 cases with 568 men and 164 women.

Among 11 hilly districts of the state, Ilam has largest caseloads of 91 including 82 men and nine women.
