Visa service will resume from Sunday
Kathmandu: The Immigration Department is scheduled to resume the postponed visa service from Sunday.
The government had decided to start regular limited numbers international flights on September first. Accordingly, 800 passengers are currently availing international flights daily.
The Immigration Department is scheduled to resume the postponed visa service as the government is now preparing to increase the number of international flights to serve up to 3,000 passengers daily. The Immigration Department also specified that those whose visas have expired will be renewed with a visa fee till September 26 and no delay fee will be charged.
According to the department, foreigners who have regular visas till April will be able to apply for a free visa from the International Airport Immigration Office and the Immigration Office at the border if they leave Nepal within 15 days from the date of commencement of international flights.
Similarly, there will be no delay fee for those who want to convert from tourist visa to other visa.
