COVID-19 patient dies

Kathmandu. A coronavirus infected person being treated at the Corona Special Hospital under Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal died today.

The 78-year-old male from Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-8, died at 9 am today, Hospital’s Information Officer Dr Bishnu Gautam said through a press release.

Although coronavirus infection was confirmed in him on August 20, he was admitted to the hospital only nine days before. He was being treated keeping him in ventilator.

He was also a patient of diabetes and high blood pressure. With the latest casualty, the number of people succumbing to COVID-19 in Rupandehi has reached 12.
