1,359 new cases of coronavirus, 14 lose battle against virus
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population recorded 1,359 cases of coronaviurus in the past 24 hours in the county, while 1,354 infected persons got recovery in the same period. With the PCR test conducted among 13,638 persons in different laboratories across the country, the infection was found among 464 women and 879 men. The total infection has now reached 44,236.
Similarly, number of people recovering from the infection has reached 25,561. The recovery is the 58 percent of total infection. Currently, there are 18,404 active cases of coronavirus. Among them, 10,942 are in institutional isolations and remaining in home isolations.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley has witnessed 454 more cases of coronavirus in the latest update- 386 from Kathmandu, 36 from Bhaktapur and 32 from Lalitpur.
Fourteen persons lose battle
In the last 24 hours, fourteen persons lost the battle against coronavirus. Among them 10 are men and four women. The new fatality has reached the total death toll to 271. The fatalities are from Kathmandu, Chitwan, Saptari, Dhanusha, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Pyuthan, Rupandehi, Palpa and Surkhet districts. The people dying of deadly virus belong to the age group of 22 to 82.
