COVID-19: 484 new cases, takes total tally to 24,432

A total of 484 new cases of Corona Virus were confirmed in the last 24 hours. This was found in 10,481 PCR tests carried out in laboratories across the country.

This takes the total number of infections in the country to 24,432, with 91 deaths. Eight people died of the virus in the past 24 hours, including two in Dhanusa and one each in Kathmandu, Dhading, Saptari, Morang, Kapilvastu and Bara, according to Ministry of Health and Population spokesperson Dr Jageswar Gautam.

Meanwhile, 131 people were confirmed positive to Corona Virus in Kathmandu valley today. Likewise, 64 people recovered from COVID-19 today, taking the total number of recovery cases to 16,728. This is 68 per cent recovery, said Dr Gautam at the daily MoHP press briefing.

The total active case remains at 7,613 in the country. So far, 472,000 PCR tests for Corona Virus have been done.
