464 new cases of infection on Friday

A total of 464 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the last 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Population informed that the recent infection was found from among 7,926 persons tested for the virus. With this, the number of total infection in the country reached 22,214.

Similarly, PCR tests were conducted among 427,926 persons so far. The Ministry has made aware the people to maintain strict discipline in view of the increasing cases. Ministry Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam informed that the Ministry recorded five new deaths caused by the coronavirus in the latest update.

Those losing lives to the coronavirus are 45-year-old man from Birgunj Metropolitan City-9; 89-year-old and 57-year-old men from Ward No 11 from same city; 77-year-old man from Golbazar Municipality-12 of Siraha; and a 45-year-old man from Basantapur of Sarlahi. The Kathmandu Valley had 106 new cases of infection.

Among these, Kathmandu district has 92 persons, Lalitpur 10 and Bhaktapur 4. In the last 24 hours, 425 persons restored their normal health. Those recovering from the coronavirus reached 15,814 with latest recovery.
