President Deuba draws govt attention to control pandemic
The major opposition, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has drawn the attention of the government to extend the isolation wards and ventilators in the hospital considering the increasing threat of COVID-19 in the country.
In a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli here today, President Deuba, also former Prime Minister, suggested PM Oli for arranging medical equipment and human resource to combat the pandemic.
According to NC party office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, President Deuba also urged the government to investigate into the alleged irregularities in the procurement of medical supplies.
The NC further has urged government to extend the ratio of PCR test, rescue stranded Nepali migrant workers effectively and adopt effective measures to control the pandemic. —
