18 police personnel of Police Headquarters test positive for COVID-19

Eighteen police personnel tested positive for coronavirus in Kathmandu Valley. Coronavirus was confirmed this morning in course of test carried out at Nepal Police Office, Maharajgunj on the basis of contact tracing after personnel of vehicle section at Police Headquarters, Naxal, tested positive for COVID-19.

Police Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kuber Kadayat, told Rastriya Samachar Samiti that 72 police personnel in Kathmandu Valley and 250 out of Valley tested positive for coronavirus so far. Out of 322 corona positive police personnel, 101 have returned home after recovery.

According to the Police Headquarters, the 18 coronavirus infected police personnel have been taken at APF Hospital, Balambu, for treatment. High court judge infected with COVID-19 Meanwhile, a report from Janakpur in Dhanusha district stated that a judge at the High Court Janakpurdham has been found infected with COVID-19.

Coronavirus has been confirmed in a 50-year-old judge at the High Court, a source at the Court said. With this, COVID-19 has been found in two judges in State No 2. Before this, coronavirus was confirmed in a 58-year-old judge at the High Court.

The High Court Janakpurdham has decided to postpone from July 31 to August 15 works except certain works that had been carried out during the lockdown period with the confirmation of COVID-19 in the judges. —
