7.8-magnitude earthquake hits Alaska: CENC
(Xinhua) A 7.8-magnitude earthquake jolted waters off Alaska to the south, United States at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 55.05 degrees north latitude and 158.50 degrees west longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km.
