101 new cases of COVID-19

A total of 101 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Friday. In a regular press briefing, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Jageshwar Gautam, shared that these cases were identified while conducting tests on 4,688 people at different 27 laboratories across the country.

With this, the number of total infected has reached 17,445 in the country. Dr Gautama added that 12,756 are in quarantines while 5,871 in isolation centers till Friday. According to the Ministry, 285 returned home after complete recovery in the last 24 hours.

With this, a total of home returnees after recovery have reached 11,534. Dr Gautam further said there are over 500 active cases of COVID-19 in Rautahat, Kailali and Bajura districts while Manang, Mustang and Humla have no single active case.
