Youth who committed suicide confirmed Corona positive

A youth who had committed suicide has been confirmed positive to Corona Virus. The 21-year-old youth of ward no. 10 in Dullu municipality was found hanging in his home on June 23.

He had returned from India, and was sent home from a quarantine after a RDT test for Corona Virus showed negative. The youth had stayed at the quarantine in Panchakoshi secondary school, Gaumadi for 14 days.

Two days later, he committed suicide, according to Chief of Dailekh Police Hari Bahadur Oli. His throat swab was collected during the post-mortem on June 24.

A test at the Karnali State hospital lab confirmed him being positive to Corona Virus, chief of the Karnali State, Ministry of Health, Health Services Division, Dr Laxmi Narayan Tiwari said.
