5.3-magnitude earthquake hits northwestern Iran
TEHRAN, June 25 (Xinhua) — A 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit Qotor region in Iran’s northwestern West Azarbaijan Province on Thursday, according to Iran’s Seismological Center.
The quake took place at 14:33 p.m. local time (1003 GMT). The epicenter, at a depth of 10 km, was determined at 38.508 degrees north latitude and 44.153 degrees east longitude.
