Local level ward chair dies in quarantine
Fifty eight years old Kallu Rana has died inside a quarantine facility here. Rana is the Krishnapur municipality ward no. 7 chairperson.
He was making a phone call sitting on a chair at the quarantine at the local National Secondary School when he collapsed all of a sudden. The incident happened on Tuesday evening.
He had come to the quarantine on a routine check after having a bath and a dinner at his house. “A new quarantine had been set up at the school. Rana had come for a visit to the quarantine to take stock of its management and he passed away,” municipality mayor Karna Bahadur Hamal said.
According to him, Rana might have died due to cardiac arrest as he had shown no symptoms of any other disease before this.
Rana’s body has been taken to the Seti Hospital Dhangadhi and preparations are being made to collect swab from Rana for testing for COVID-19.
