Govt. committed to save people from disease and hunger
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government was committed to saving the people from disease and hunger.
In an address to the nation today, he said the government was making necessary preparations for coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic. The government authorities remain prepared to face the pandemic, as Nepal continues to fight against Corona Virus since the past 62 days of the lockdown. He also said that the quarantine centres would be gradually upgraded.
“We need to continue to keep up this fight for some more time to come,” he said. Stating that the government was working to expand the scope of COVID-19 testing, he referred to the country moving from one to 20 laboratories for testing.
Only mutual support and cooperation at the people’s level can help us win against Corona Virus. “As this infection will last more some more time, we can win against the pandemic only if we work together against it,” he said.
