Chief Ministers of Bagmati and Gandaki states greet on Eid al-Fitr

Chief Minister of Bagmati State, Dormani Poudel and Chief Minister of Gandaki State, Prithvi Subba Gurung, have extended their hearty best wishes to the entire Nepali Muslim community on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr festival.

In separate messages of best wishes, the two Chief Ministers expressed their confidence that the festival would help foster national unity. In his message on the occasion, Chief Minister Poudel wished that may this festival help consolidate the equal respect to all faiths and the religious goodwill in the country like in the past.

He also appreciated the contribution made by the Muslim community to strengthening the nation and nationality, and to boosting the unity in diversity through mixing with various communities of Nepal since before Nepal’s unification.

Similarly, Chief Minister of Gandaki state, Gurung wished that may this Eid festival inspire all to building a peaceful, prosperous and developed Nepal by fostering brotherhood, love and unity among all Nepalis following different faith and cultures. He also wished that this festival give added inspiration to fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
