Vietnam reports 1 new COVID-19 case, 313 in total
Vietnam’s Ministry of Health on late Friday afternoon confirmed one new case of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total number in the country to 313 with no deaths reported.
The new case is a Vietnamese man aged 28 who returned to the country from Dubai on May 3, said the ministry. The case brought the total infected cases in the country recorded on Friday to 25.
Previously on Friday morning, the ministry confirmed 24 new cases, aged from 24 to 48, were on a same flight from Russia to Vietnam on Wednesday. They are now treated in the northern provinces of Thai Binh and Quang Ninh.
Vietnam has 131 suspected cases with over 12,000 being monitored and quarantined while 260 have totally recovered from COVID-19 as of Friday afternoon, according to the health ministry.
