NA passes proposal to thank President Bhandari

The meeting of National Assembly (NA) on Friday approved a proposal to extend gratitude to President Bidya Devi Bhandari for her address to the joint meeting of the federal parliament.

During the meeting, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had presented a copy of the policies and programmes of the government for the fiscal year 2020/21 unveiled by the President. The proposal reads, “The meeting of National Assembly would like to extend its thanks to President Bidya Devi Bhandari for her address to the joint meeting of the federal parliament on May 15, 2020.”

NA member Dinanath Sharma had presented the proposal which was seconded by another NA member Shekhar Kumar Singh. The federal parliament will deliberate on the policy and programmes unveiled by the President on May 18, 19 and 20.

Prime Minister Oli will respond to the queries to be posed by the parliamentarians on policy and programmes during those meetings. The NA will next meet on May 17 at 11 am.
