PCR tests reach 17,809

The Ministry of Health and Population has said that the number of PCR tests for Corona Virus in the country has reached 17,809 as of today.

In between, test through the RDT method was carried out on 58,546 persons. Speaking at the regular press meet held at the Ministry today, spokesperson Dr Biskas Devkota said 2,799 tests were carried out in the previous 24 hours. Currently, 12,701 people are in quarantine in the country and 153 in isolation.

The number of infected has reached 121 of which 33 have recovered. Meanwhile, 100,000 RDT testing kits have arrived in Kathmandu today.

The RDT kits were procured by the Department of Health Services through the BIDH Management company. It was transported from China on a Himalayan Airlines aircraft.
