Two killed, one injured in lightning

Kathmandu. Two persons died after being struck by lightning in Sirpa of Lungri rural municipality-2 today.

The deceased have been identified as Bhim Bahadur BK,63, and Chitra Pun, 40, of the same locality, according to DSP at Rolpa District Police Office Chitra Bahadur Gurung.

A goat in the cowshed of Bhim Bahadur was also killed in the same incident. Meanwhile in Arghakhanchi, one person was injured after being hit by lightning at Simalpani in ward no. 13 of Shitganga municipality. Ramesh Pariyar,18, of the locality was injured in the incident.

Pariyar has been undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Post in Thada, according to information officer of the District Police Office, Arghakhanchi, Prakash Khatri.
