64,485 tested for COVID-19 till today

A total of 64,485 people from across the country have been tested for COVID-19 till today. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, of them, 13,640 are tested via PCR while 50,845 via RDT method.

Ministry spokesperson, Dr Bikas Devkota in a regular press briefing at the Ministry today, shared that 21,523 people are kept in quarantines while 106 in isolation wards with the suspicion of COVID-19 in the country. He added that 1,876 calls were received at the call centres established by the Ministry to respond to the query of the public in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, 484 persons have filled up entry form at the webpage and mobile app with their health details and of them seven are categorized in red zone. Dr Devkota also added that the concerned bodies are intensifying the tracing of suspected ones. He added that the case of COVID-19 infected has reached 75 and of them 58 are male while 17 are female.

Of the infected 75 cases, 59 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals while others returned homes after complete recovery. He also alerted the concerned authorities to spray disinfection liquids following standards not directly on body part.
