New 10 cases of COVID-19 witnessed in single day

Ten new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in a single day today, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Bikas Devkota said.

Nine new cases were witnessed in Banke while one in Prasa, he added. According to Dr Devkota, five are males and four are females ranging from 7 to 58 years. Similarly, 36-year-old male was found infected in Parsa.

Devkota added that all nine individuals from Banke district are being admitted to the Bheri Hospital Neplagunj. With these new cases, the number of COVID-19 infected has reached 69 in the country.

So far, 16 persons have returned homes after complete recovery while remaining others are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country.
