NCP chair shares rationale behind ordinances

The central secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party was apprised of the decisions taken by the government is regards to the two ordinances issued today.

“Party chair KP Sharma Oli shared about the rationale behind the two ordinances and expressed his view on the procedures and the relevance of the same,” says a press statement issued by the party Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shresha this evening.

The meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar was chaired by the two chairs-Prime Minister Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. It may be noted that President Bidya Bhandari issued the ‘Constitutional Council (function, duties, rights and procedures) first amendment, Ordinance, 2077 and the ‘Political Party (second amendment) Ordinance, 2077 earlier today.

The meeting emphasized on the need to further unify and consolidate the party as well as the nation in the ongoing fight against COVID-19, adds the statement.
