98 returnees test negative for COVID-19
Ninety eight people who returned from various countries have tested negative for COVID-19 at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4 and 5, said the metropolis.
KMC collected details of abroad returnees and started testing them for the infection at all wards from Wednesday following recent confirmation of two people with the virus in the Kathmandu Valley, said KMC Spokesperson Ishwor Man Dangol, adding that the test is continuing.
The two persons contracted to have infection at Suncity Apartment in Pepsicola had recently returned from the United Kingdom. The Public Health Division of KMC initiated collecting details of the returnees in a bid to check the transmission of coronavirus.
KMC mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya urged the suspects to remain in touch with their respective wards for virus test.
