Two die in lightning

A seven-year-old girl died in lightning in the district Tuesday night. Laxmi Khati from Tikhadhar of Shailyashikar municipality-6 died on the spot as the lightning struck her house, according to District Police Office here.

Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Surendra Prasad Joshi, informed that five persons were injured in the incident occurred at 8:00 pm. Even the house was destroyed and two cows killed in the lightning. Meanwhile, the Area Police Office of Manahari has said a person died in the thunder strike occurred at Dhirang of Raksirang rural municipality-7 this morning.

The victim is identified as 41-year-old Chaitra Praja. It was also reported that three others were injured in the incident. So, a police team was deputed to the area to study the incident and bring the injured ones at Manahari for treatment, said the District Police Office, Makwanpur.
