Light snowfall predicted at high-hilly region

Kathmandu- Because of the extreme cold light snowfall is predicted at high-hilly and mountainous region in the western part of the country today, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

It is said that there is a possibility of snowfall due to westerly low pressure system, which is active above Jammu-Kashmir, would enter towards western part from Nepal’s eastern part.

The westerly low pressure system would be more active till Wednesday evening and there was the possibility of snowfall at high-hill and mountainous areas of the central and eastern regions, said meteorologist Shanti Kandel.

The sky on Wednesday and Thursday would remain cloudy and the country would experience cold as temperature would dip down.
